complete new avatar power rituals

these are my notes from the miracle of new avatar power. i have gone through the entire book and put together the rites in their proper order. these notes are for self but if you find them useful, more power to you.

the way i see it, there are two kinds of rituals in the new avatar power: information-gathering rituals, and changework rituals (spells and rites). information-gathering come inthe form of pendulum divinations, intuitive development, contacting a spirit familiar, and astral projection. changework is general spellwork, spells for magical self-defense, and finally the titanic ritual (which is the centrepiece of the book).

of course it goes without saying that these rituals are cut-down versions of golden dawn/thelemic rituals.

the first rite is the pendulum rite and that comes in multiple parts. this part of the book seems to me to be one of the sections that might be overlooked but i'm beginning to realize the importance of good divination skill. from what i've been told it takes around three weeks to get really good with a pendulum, it's not an overnight thing but it seems to be an ability that grows quickly so the time spent on this is worthwhile.

obviously you begin with the new avatar power ritual, uncross, and open the gates. then you get down to the pendulum work. when you're done you end the ritual and come back from it. afterward you journal what happened. it's pretty straightforward.

a. the first part is to find out which directon the pendulum swings for different answers. in the book there is yes/no but the pendulum can move in six directions: up/down; sideways; laterally (up leftward or up rightward); clockwise in a circle; counterclockwise in a circle. these movements can be yes/no or they can be other answers depending on what you want. potential answers are yes; no; maybe; be more specific/ask more accurately; i don't know either; irrelevant question; i'll tell you later; it's your decision/up to you; unresolved situation/too early to call; unclear/need parts negotiation; or any other.

b. the second part is for you to spell out answers using the pendulum and the alphabetical chart. i added numbers to mine to make it alphanumeric; here is what mine looks like.

here is my modified alphanumeric chart from the miracle of new avatar power p124. i have added numbers and yes/no answers to mine, and i also use playing cards to divine energies involved in the situation.

i use this along with my pendulum and the playing cards. my playing cards give me quick yes/no answers (i usually go red for yes, black for no when i want to do a long series of yes/no's, it's much faster than the pendulum). i also use playing cards to get an idea on the energies involved in situations for deeper insight. i ching with coins works just as well but for me the playing cards are faster. either way you zero in on the issue at hand and gain insight all the way along. it's very helpful for finding out what's going on.

c. the third part is dowsing over maps, dowsing in real life, etc. just using the pendulum everywhere. that is where dowsing becomes an art limited only by your imagination and i'm thinking that's where the fun begins.

thanks cramaiel. i'm just looking to understand the work better and talking it out like this is helping me a lot. i've learned so much doing the pendulum work alone it's not even funny. can't wait to get into the more complex parts of nap but you gotta crawl before you walk so i'm keeping it simple for now

amazing how complex the new avatar power can get when you really go deep into the grimoire. i have learned so much from going through it not only about nap, but also about the classical grimoires such as greater key, grim verum, even modern ones like the necronomicon and satanic bible.

these tests are to tune your psi to hear from your inner voice. this is an exercise in clairaudience, which will come in useful in speaking to spirit entities of many kinds. it is also to send and receive messages through telepathy. in these exercises you train to speak to various forces by sending questions, comments, and commands out to inanimate objects and receiving feedback from them.

doing these tests one a day trains the mind in the proper way. also, if they are put in a certain order, they become a form of progressive conditioning. doing the mailbox test p99, the mail delivery test p105, and the contents of letter test p99 on three consecutive days will train your mind in developing along the lines of reading mail before you open it. those tests are good because you can't change the contents of letters. but get this. doing the telephone caller test p100 and today's callers test p105 can have an effect on reality because those things actually can be influenced by thought patterns if there is not enough interference going on. the order of the cumulative testing types are:
mailbox tests: mailbox test p99, contents of letter test p99, and then mail delivery test p105
phone tests: telephone caller test p100 and today's callers test p105
radio tests: radio tune test p101 and next tune test p107
ordered precognition: news headline test p101, next automobile test p104, and elevator arrival test p106

i'm assuming that doing these rites over the course of two weeks is what builds the ability to send and receive messages to a noticeable degree. hopefully sticking to a timetable of doing the work for a couple of weeks is not the problem in today's world of instant gratification.

How exactly do you use the playing cards to give you answers? I'm fuzzy on that part, does the pendulum swing over the card?

you CAN use the pendulum with cards! there are a bunch of ways to do it too. if you want to use the pendulum with multiple cards you could probably do that as a multiple-choice type of deal and let your pendulum tell you which card is best for whatever you want.

for example, if you had two or more playing or tarot cards and you wanted to choose between them for whatever reason, fan the cards out and then put the pendulum over them. whatever way the pendulum swings is the card you use.

the way i use the cards is as a quicker yes/no method than the pendulum for when i can't get the pendulum working properly. i shuffle the cards and draw one from the deck at random. for me a red card is yes, black is no. i leave jokers in the deck as wildcards (aka i don't know/it could go either way/the situation is uncertain). it's faster than the pendulum and more reliable when i'm under stress. i also use my cards in tarot spreads to get an explanation on my query.

another thing i'd like to point out here is what i've done to my playing cards: take a look at these two cards i have here for a second.

notice how on the top of the two of spades and bottom of the six of diamonds there are arrows pointing up and down. when i bought my cards i also bought black and red markers and on the spades and clubs i put a black up arrow on the top of all cards. on the hearts and diamonds i put a red arrow on the top of all cards. that way, when i shuffle and draw cards, if the arrow points down i drew the card reversed.


and again, as i hinted at before...

if you want something that is just as useful as using playing cards for yes/no, i have flipped coins. for more insight to a situation instead of drawing cards i just continued flipping six more coins in a row and did an i ching divination. it works just as well with the pendulum as playing cards and if anything is even simpler and more practical.

all you need is your pendulum the alphanumeric chart in the new avatar power grimoire, and some coins. in this photo you can see i used a penny for the yes/no and six coins flipped left to right for the i ching hexagram:

the penny is for yes/no and the three dimes are to generate i ching lines using the three-coin method, which you can read up on over at wikipedia.

if you're super cheapo you don't even need the coins! use the coin flipping program at random.org to generate three coins at a time and do that six times for your hexagram. for all you minimalists who hate to be bogged down with magical toys and who just want to get the job done quick and dirty without all the pomp and fuss.
