Re: A list of reference material for Hekate research.

Thanks. There is much to say about Hekate, with little actually being said here and elsewhere. Have you looked into Tuba Veneris? Is your list ordered in any way? Which books would you particularly recommend? BM tuba veneris definitely is hekate related i remember your comments when i posted my hek...

Re: Myrrh ink

ash does not become ink, youre looking for fine carbon soot, not the ash itself. aside from that, stephen flowers presents a perfectly usable version. Also i suggest looking into how to make inks with pigments.. youtube has a wealth of information. you can even whip up inks out of dollar store mica ...

Re: Thoughts on PGM Reconstruction

Research is important, but magic dies and becomes philosophy when winging it is removed from the repertoire. Also, there is a big difference between winging it, and running on inspiration. Inspiration in my opinion relies on an exterior and interior base. Interior base for inspiration is limited by ...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

Thats a fair opinion of that particular current though Chumbley, whom I had met and entered into personal correspondence with has held more respect among academics than those who copied him.A scholar himself he drew upon a myriad of ideas from many sources including the artwork of Aubrey Beardsley.I...

Re: Odd Insights into Hekate

If Hecate is a Titan, she pre-dates mankind. So she technically wouldn’t be of any country, people in countries only claim dieties when it suits them and The Ancient Greeks and Romans were still pretty patriarchal, being a female, it probably took centuries for her cult to catch on. But with that s...

Re: The Bornless Ritual & The Holy Guardian Angel

Religion in my opinion, has little to do with a LHP Magician. Unless we are creating it. I think it was Timothy Leary who one said, and I paraphrase, religions were all created by men, so you may as well create your own. Lol. Yes Im not sure about the quote particularly but I know LSD has a tendenc...

Re: The Bornless Ritual & The Holy Guardian Angel

I would say that yes we would have more than one, but it would be very few. Most religions in the realm of europe and the middle east extensively borrowed from each other along the way. Gods made their way back and forth across borders and accrued ideas and attributions along the way, and in ome cas...

Re: The Bornless Ritual & The Holy Guardian Angel

Then how would occult authors spin their extremely dubious syncretisms between totally different gods and therefore conjure out of thin air (as if by magic) their own original book topics? If magicians didnt spin sycretisms and create new systems, the world would only have one religion ever in hist...
