Working With the Elements

Hey folks, I'm after some advice on how to structure a practice towards working with the Elements. I'm adopting a ceremonial/golden dawn style system. Would the following sequence be the right way forward?
LBRP for several months till mastered
Introduce Middle Pillar
Add the LIRP in the morning and banish at night
Do this for several months till mastered and then add the Supreme Ritual for each individual element....
Invoke earth element with the SIRP for approximately 3 months. Then Air, Fire and Water.
Whilst working on individual elements, do I continue with the Lesser Invoking to keep everything in balance? LBRP is mandatory if course.
Greatful for any pointers to refine this approach. Any other rituals that should be incorporated ?
