'Modern' Grimoires and Rituals Vs. Geotic

'Morning folks!
Quick question, if I may...
Since becoming re-involved in magickal workings, over the past few months, I've found myself drawn to modern titles, such as 'Secrets From Beyond The Pyramids', NAP, NIP and Malak's Grimoire.
I've already had some measurable success with NAP, which seems to form a pretty darn powerful system in it's own right.
I'm actively and regularly practising the old faithfuls, like the LBRP, MP, and Circulation, in conjunction with the above.
I was wondering the other day though; if't it's perfectly possible to get concrete results with these newer books, why bother with standard Goetic evocation, which seems far more time-intensive and cumbersome in comparison?
I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts!
