This isn't really a magical question, but I thought some of you might have some advice.
What is the best way to destroy paper documents slowly (say, over months) in such a way that they appear to have naturally gone bad? (For instance, making them moldy or mildewy)
The climate where the documents are is quite dry. I have tried spraying the documents lightly with water (also oil and sugar water) and put some moldy food with them, but it doesn't seem to have "taken".
I can't find any advice about this online as most people are concerned with preserving their documents.
Any thoughts?
