Just to say that The Apothecary is back up and running after being semi dormant for the last couple of years. It is the only UK apothecary that still works with 17c alchemical praxis. Where possible herbs are wild crafted from the welsh marches in the UK or home grown. Those of you who came to the Grimoire Gathering 2010 in Shropshire will know what the countryside is like. Exotics of course are imported. As astrology is used alot in preparations sometimes it can be a month before your requirements can be met. Depends on what the heavens are doing. When we talk about using alchemical methods in our preparations we mean just that so no new age psycho waffle. Just furnaces, retorts and pelicans, such as the old masters would recognise. Also being produced is an interesting range of old incense formulae which may be of interest. And do not forget the Mercurius Press who are incorporated here.
