Simple protection, Hinder ones progress?

Ive notices when scrying and contacting the grimoric spirits from each tradition, that When I scry with them If i do the LBRP and the BRH, it can actually HINDER my scrying ability to see them, I still get a result, but Ive done it without using them and just going into the conjurations, I've suffered backlash from doing that, but I had a more immediate and powerful result from not using the casting and banishing of circles
My question is if you are using the lets say Goetia to contact a spirit successfuly, you need to banish first to clear the area, and banish the macrocosm, but I've noticed some problems with this.
How else to banish or clear the area without using protection rituals which clears the area EVEN banishing the effective result of the desired spirit
anybody experimented with this?
does anybody do the goetia without protection first?
